RE: National Smokers Alliance
I have attached an Operating Plan and Budget submitted to Philip
Morris by the National Smokers Alliance (NSA). As you are aware,
the NSA's membership has grown rapidly, even since the issuance
of this Plan, and they are becoming a vital resource available to
smokers for education, information and communications.
Craig and I have reviewed the plan and met with Tom Humber. We
recommend that we make two grants to the NSA for the remainder
of the year as follows:
August 15, 1994 $5,000,000
October 17, 1994 $5,000,000
