Stephen C. Darrah was appointed Senior Vice President, Manufacturing for Philip
Morris U.S.A. in September 1992. He previously served as Vice President,
Manufacturing for Philip Morris U.S.A. since August 1989.
Based in Richmond, Virginia, he is responsible for overseeing the direction of all
cigarette production activities at the Philip Morris U.S.A. plants in Richmond, Virginia;
Louisville, Kentucky; and Cabatrus County, North Carolina.
-.Mr. Darrah joined Philip Morris in 1974 as a Shift Superintendent at the Park 500
facility in Richmond. He was promoted to Manager, Maintenance and Engineering, Park
500 in 1976. In 1978, Mr. Darrah transferrr,d to the Cabarrus plant as Coordinator,
Design and Engineering. Mr. Darrah was named Plant Manager, Louisville, in 1980. He
served as Director, Manufacturing for Philip Morris International Inc. in Holland from
19$2 to 1984. Mr. Darrah was appointed Vice President, aperations for Philip Morris
International Inc.'s European Economic Community region, headquartered in Lausanne,
- Switzerland in 1984.
Prior to joining Philip Morris Mr. I arrah served in the United States Army in
Vietnam, where he earned the Silver Star, ive Distinguished Flying crosses, and two
Bronze Stars.

business administration degree from Georgia State University in Atlanta.
