Abstract
Discusses a campaign against a Los Alamos smoking restrictions proposal. States "Kelly has viewed his current mandate for the past two weeks as follows: have the Tarrance research conducted . . . [and] be prepared to go with a local campaign if the research says 'yes'." Continues "he believes the general consensus of the companies two weeks ago to have been in the direction of waging a modest campaign - unless the research shows a problem." Indicates "two or three members of the Los Alamos City Council want to wage their own campaign against the proposal, without any involvement by tobacco," and that "two local restaurateurs are interested in mounting a campaign against the proposal, with some tobacco assistance." States "Kelly thinks the $63,500 budget is more than enough."
