Mr. Warner was a Professor and Chairman for the Department of Public Health Policy and Administration at the School of Public Health, University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI in 1993 (Orleans & Slade). He was a contributor to Orleans & Slade Nicotine Addiction in 1993. He was a professor of Public Health at the University of Michigan and a leading expert on the tobacco industry (ABC Primetime Live 2/25/93). "This is one of the most reprehensible examples of corporate behavior gone wrong that has ever existed in the history of our country," (ABC Primetime Live 2/25/93). Warner wrote in the 2/7/85 New England Journal of Medicine about the difficulty Grace Reinbold, president of Worldwide Media, had in placing ads in national magazines for antismoking clinics, apparently because of the magazines' fear of losing advertising money (L. White, Merchants 1988).
