John P. Rupp worked for Covington & Burling and managed the industry's scientific and regulatory response to secondhand smoke worldwide, including the International ETS Consultants Project. Rupp was responsible for coordinating the selection and use of scientists to refute the ETS (enviornmental tobacco smoke) issue.
