Restaurant Program

(TI program to deter smoking bans in restaurants) Sought to deter both voluntary and legislated smoking restrictions in restaurants

The Tobacco Institute's Restaurant Program was organized by Peter Sparber and Joanna Hamilton of Sparber & Associates (TI consultant) and was meant to deter smoking bans in restaurants (both voluntary and legislated). The program used various tactics to shift the issue from one of health to one of economics, class preferences, other air contaminants, poor ventilation problems, etc.
