This class action suit was brought by representative plaintiffs Gray Davis, and James P. Ellis against R.J. Reynolds, Brown & Williamson, British American Tobacco, Liggett, Philip Morris, the Council for Tobacco Research, the Tobacco Institute and Lorillard on December 17, 1996.
