LeMaistre, Charles Aubrey, M.D.

Charles LeMaistre was President of the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX from 1993 to 1994 (Dallas MN 1/12/94). LeMaistre testified for the plaintiff in the Horton the case. He worked on the 1964 Surgeon General's report (D. Barrett 5/19/94). He is also a member of the 1961-1964 Surgeon General's advisory committee on smoking and health (E. Whelan 1984). Circa 1961, LeMaistre was a Professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School (E. Whelan 1984). Dr. LeMaistre is President of MD Anderson Cancer Center. He was a member of the first Surgeon General's Panel on smoking in 1964. He has a very good knowledge of tobacco and the politics of tobacco.
