Abstract
BATCo memo on Potassium Carbonate. Notes that while potassium normally accelerates burning, potassium carbonate reduces it. States the use of potassium carbonate reduces tar because it slows burn rate, and reduces total nicotine quantity, but may enhance the "kick" of nicotine left, as the free nicotine from it is absorbed more quickly by the bloodstream.
