Abstract
Chart showing smoke pH for selected set of B&W brands vs FTC smoke nicotine. Estimated percent of free nicotine in B&W cigarettes at an average smoke pH of 4.8: 0.085% unionized (free) nicotine, 99.915% ionized (bound). Average pH measurements range from 4.5 to 5.3 (for Burley straight grade.)
