Self-Extinguishing Cigarette--Additional Information on Time to Ignition
Abstract
Relates results of information analyzed on the time to ignition of upholstered furniture exposed to cigarettes. Cigarettes were exposed to a wide variety of fabrics and cushioning. Paper includes tables of the amount of time it took for a cigarette to ignite fabric from various positions on a piece of furniture (e.g., center of seat, front edge of seat, etc.).
