Enclosed is a copy of a report entitled "The World Health
Organization(WHO): Its Work Related to the Activities of
the International Tobacco Industry." It is sent to you as
internal information for Philip Morris and its affiliates.
If you wish to give it to anyone outside the company, please
contact me before doing so.
This report should not be considered a complete nor defini-
tive treatment of the subject; but we believe it provides
a comprehensive summary of WHO activities and opinions on
smoking and health.
The essence of the report can be obtained by reading the
"Executive Summary" on pages v-xiii and section II. C. and'
II. D. on pages 14-28.
Please let me know if you like to see any of the appendices
to the report. Area vice presidents in Latin America and
Asia may also let me know if they would like copies of the
report distributed to affiliate general managers.
