PN's comments on the draft minutes of the meeting as circulated by
Robin Allen on 11/5/91 included :
A request that MsTA seeks additional information on all loca2
manufacturing operations/industries. This was noted.
Clarification that it did not agree to advocate or encourage a
combination of specific and ad valorem duty. This was noted.
(Please see comments on item 7 of the agenda).
Clarification of members agreement to develop the Industry
exchange and META's role in the exchange. This was noted.
2. 11ATTSRB ARISING
Local Manufacturing
Robin Allen reported additional information on Virginia
Industries, following his visit to Mr. Talwar, General Manager,
on 26.8.91, and Gulf Conversion Company , after visiting Mr.
Mirchandaney, GCCO's General Manager on 22.9.91.
Robin Allen was requested (by GLN) at the May 3 meeting to obtain
and circulate the cabinet lists of all GCC countries. This was
done.
