Jay Tansing -- (202) 828-9066 days, (301) 469-6095 evenings -- of Price Waterhouse conducted the study on behalf of the San Diego Restaurant & Tavern Association (233-6351), which has provided 47 years of service to San Diego's taverns and restaurants. The projected loss of Jobs, businesses and tax revenues could be much higher if area businesses lose more the 17 percent of their business, the study showed. If the actual losses are 30 percent, the city would experience a loss of more than 11,000 Jobs, 776 businesses (exhibit 111-1) and a decline of millions in tourists to the city. - END -
