Millington suuccT: Fourth Quarter 1992 Report on Institutional Eoldinas of PhiliD Morris Common Stock Following is material relating to institutions required to file their holdings with the S.E.C. As of December 31, 1992, 810 of these institutions owned 496 million shares of Philip Morris, or 55.6% of the common stock outstanding. During the quarter, reporting firms decreased their Philip Morris holdings by 21,598,000 shares. The major sellers were Janus Capital (3,484,000 shares], Capital Growth Management (3,438,000 shares], and Fidelity Management [2,508,000 shares). For the full year, Fidelity divested a total of 14,547,000, leaving a balance at December 31 of 4,266,000 Philip Morris shares in its portfolio. Major purchasers were Newbold's Asset Management [1,286,000 shares], AIM Management [1,018,000 shares], and Alliance Capital [932,000 shares].
