George W. Anstadt, MD
Task Force Chair
Dr. Anstadt is the medical director for Kodak in Rochester, NY, and
an alternate delegate to the AMA House of Delegates from the American College of
Occupational and Environmental Medicine.
Randolph D. Smoak, MD
Dr. Smoak is a surgeon from Organgeburg, SC, and vice chair of the AMA's Board of Trustees.
He is also an AMA representative to the Koop/Kessler
Committee on Tobacco Control.
Edward J. Hill, MD
Dr. Hill is a family physician from Tupelo, MS, and
a member of the AMA's Board of Trustees.
Ronald M. Davis, MD
Dr. Davis is director of the Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention of the Henry
Ford Health System in Detroit, MI. He chairs the AMA's Council on Scientific Affairs and is
former director of the U.S_ Centers for Disease Control's Office on Smoking and Health. Dr.
Davis is also a member of the World Health Organization's Technical Advisory Group on
Tobacco or Health and is the editor of the British Medical Association's Tobacco Controb An
International Journal. He is an alternate delegate to the AMA House of Delegates from the
American College of Preventive Medicine.

Dr. McCaffree is an internist specializing in pulmonary disease and is chief of staff at the
Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Oklahoma City, OK. He is president-elect of the American

Michael J. Acbinger, MD
Dr. Achinger is a resident in internal medicine at the Wilford Hall Medical Center, Lackland Air
Force Base, San Antonio, TX. He is chair of the AMA's Resident Physician Section and an
alternate delegate to the AMA's House of Delegates.
Michael W. Bigelow, Ph.D
Dr. Bigelow is completing his medical training.at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee,
WI, and is chair of the AMA Medical Student Section's Governing Council.
Patrick Harr, MD
Dr. Harr is president of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Maryville, MO, and is a
delegate from AAFP to the AMA's House of Delegates.
David Callender, MD, MBA ,
Dr. Callender is deputy chairman of the Department of Head and Neck Surgery at the University
of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX, the world's largest cancer center. He is
an adjunct assistant professor of Otolaryngology and Communication Services at Baylor College
of Medicine and is a former alternate delegate to the AMA House of Delegates from the AMA
Young Physician Section.
