THE TOBACCO INSTITUTE 18754 STREET. NORTHWEST WILLIAM KLOEPFER. JR. W:\SHINGTON.,DC 20006 Senior Vice Pcesident- 202; 457-4800 • 800i 424-g876 Public Relations 30P;,457--I861 August 8, 1985 0,G19195 R• A PAGES MEMORAIVDUM TO: Dr. Colucci, Mr. Davidson, Mr. Dehn, Dr. Esterle, Mr. Hoel, Dr. Kastenbaum, Dr. Osdene, Dr. Pages, Mr. Rupp, Dr. Schafer and~Dr. Spears FROM: WILLIAM KLOEPFER, JR. At your last meeting Don*Hoel distributed a copy of the Honeywell Technalysis report of its survey of attitudes of office workers toward indoor air quality. The title itself was misleading in that lighting and temperature turned out to be primary subjects of concern in the survey. There was further distortion of the significance of the presence of tobacco smoke. All this, coupled with a fortuitous conversation with Honeywell's CEO by Hugh Cullman lead to the appraisal we sent, which I am happy to share withyou at Don's I suggestion. mss Enclosure
