The Model Ordinance is algood,, strong'law to protect nonsmokers in e'nclosed public places, at work, and in restaurants. It has already, been adopted by'the Contra Costa County B;oard' of Supervisors and 17 of the 18 cities in the County. WE NEED'YOU.R HELP to urge the Pleasant Hill City, Council to adopt the'Smok'ing Education Coalitilon's Mode1 Ordinance without substantive change'. In particular, the city coun- cil should not alter the restaurant provision, which pro- tects nonsmokers in restaura'nts. What You Can Do 1. Attend the City, Council meeting to urge the adop- tion of' the Model Smoking Ordinance withoutt substantive'change. The meeting is at 7:30 PM!at the City Council Chambers, 3300 North Main Street. 2.
