The City Attorney may obtain an injunction to enforce the provisions of the ordinance, or initiate civil action against the employer. Response to enforcement of the ordinance has been excellent. Only 143 complaints have Leen received from March 1, 1984 to May 14, 1985. Eleven complaints are currently under investigation, and the remainder have been abated. In only one instance has it been necessary to hold an abatereat hearing for non-comoliance, and no cases have had to be referred to the office of the City :,ttorney fcr further action.
