Greece: A workplace law may be in dcvelopment to put t3rr.eoo in compliance with the
EC'S9 Directive on Health and Safety in the Workplsce for which (3feece's derogation

lapses at the cnd of 1994. Efforts are underway to get Greece to adopt
Belgian workplace law that requires accommodation of ambcts and noa-smokus.
Germany: Callc have been made to introduce tvorkplace legislation, However, these are
not cxpe;W to move under the currrst govemaaent. Proactive plads are now being
developed to head off any deterioration in the eavironmat around smoking.
