Aiae the square damoe king of Milwaukee, my name is George
Woodward, with the Miller Brewing Compaay and it's a pleasure
this morning to introduce my distinguished colleagues who

Carolyn Cheney, from Philip Morris' DC office, put your hand
up Carolyn, Mr. Wolfgang Arnold, from Philip Morris in Belgium,
and'Alr. John Rochevar from philip Morris, USA, D1ew York, Johst
This workshop is designed to emphasize the
aeed to capitalize on opportunities to meet and talk with
people who are or Ao could be important to Philip Morris
and to the Philip Morris family. Through the presentations
and exercises the participants are exposed to aome of the
skills roquired and the pitfalls to be avoided and at our
little meeting this morning before the session John Kochevar
pointed out so w!ell the Philip Morris family have spent this
sumeer one hell of a lot of money on this very thing. NCSL,
both of the political conventions, council of state govern- ~

ment meetings and others, and if we members of'the Philip ~
Morris family who by participating or not by participating N
make the expenditure of those funds either worthwhile or ~

to you, we would like for you to put your name on each list
and individually ®ske a iist of all the aistakes that pu
think George Babbet made or any of the other Philip Morris
employees. You will have about 10 minutes for this.

s ite . Thank you.
JOHN 2COGB3VARs Okay now in continuation of
this frivolity and with everybody having such a grand time
wlsat we have done is we have asked sowe of more illustrious
people, those that have been around for awhile to assmae
certain roles and there are actuaiiy six of these and we're
going to give you about 15 minutes and what wed like to do
is have the person who has the assignwent sort of go through
a a exercise right now of certain typical prob2ems we run
into at cocktail parties, ree:eptions, etc., and atter about-
15 minutes we're going to do a little play acting probably
right out here at center stage and we're going to ask you
all
to suba~it comments and conssent about how you might

handle those situations or how you might not handle those
situations.
So if those with the assignments would please
try to organize and just sort of start leading their little
discussion within your groups and then we'll act it out
for everyone.
G. WOODWARD: Two volunteers from his group
and then each of the presenters that had a problem will you
pick two of the people from your group that will come up
with you. So Don, you've got one minute, sir.

ramifications of this...
MR. ZARRIS: Listen, you know we get a lot
of issues here in St. Louis, and I've got constituents coming
in all the time. What Z'ra concerned about and during my
tenure on the council I've worked to support all of the
beverage issues that have come before us and really worked
to make St. Louis the kind of place where 7 UP could grow
and prosper and add to the community, which you have done.
has
Coming to me on an issue that really had no impact on you:::
I've gotten some calls, generally the tone and the feeling
of my constituents seems to be, we don't need smoke in all
over the place we've got to cut it down, restrict it, people
are, concerned about the health issue, I think I should go
along with that.
