SUBJECT: RECEIVING AND UNLOADING BULK LIQUID MATERIALS BAS1C JOB PROCEDURE Supervisor determines which tank to pump into from 0700 readings of tank levels JP NO: ISSUE DATE: P~,, ~denti$l p'~, SUPERSEDES: KEY POINTS If neccessary, switch tanks so Production cannot pull from tank that is being filled Machine Room personnel must be notified whenever tanks or pumps are switched Supervisor and employee check to ensure pit valves in pumping area are closed'when handling tankers Shipment is accepted based'on Lab results Valving,is set by employee to pump from tanker into our storage tank Driver opens dame lid on top of tanker Driver opens gate valve to hose Employee turns on pump and then proceeds to empty tanker Tanker is empty Leave pump running while driver inspects inside of tanker I Waste Treatment must be notified of any influent to their system at any time If rejected, reseal with P500 seals, change paperwork to reflect new seals and call Purchasing.
