F. CLIFTON WHITE
F. Clifton White is a political strategist and consultant
in public affairs and government relations. He has served
as an advisor and planner for candidates for the Presidency,
the United States Senate, the House of Representatives,
and for Governor.
He is credited with Barry Goldwater's dramatic victory at
the 1964 Republican National Convention. He also served
as an advisor to Ronald Reagan in 1968, as an advisor to
Richard Nixon's campaigns in 1960 and 1972, and as advisor
to President Geaald-Ford in 1976. In 1970 he also served
as manager of James L. Buckley's successful Senate campaign
in New York. In 1972 he was an advisor to Jesse Helms,
a successful Senate candidate in North Carolina.
Mr. White has been an advisor on election coverage to two
national breadcasting networks and has made numerous guest
appearances on television. A lecturer at colleges and uni-
versities, he was formerly a member of the faculty of Cornell
University and of Ithaca College.
He is the author of Suite 3505, published in 1967, which
details the events of the 1964 campaign, and co-author of
a book on the political process, Yes, We Cant (1972).
He is a founder of the Public Affairs Council and a member
of its Board of Directors. He is also former President of
the American Association of Political Consultants.

Since 1977 Mr. White haa served on the Republican National
Cotmmittee as Chairman of the Campaign '80 Committee and also
Chairman of the Campaign Advisory Committee. Mr. Vrhite is
currently a senior advisor to the Presidential Campaign of
Ronald Reagan.
