Box 909, Trenton, Nsw Jeney 0M TelNphone (e091E95-7'600 March 28, 1990 Dear Chief School Administrators: The no•smoking survey tabulations are now completi. Due to the overall participation of New Jersey school districts, we are able to present you with statistics that reflect a true majority of school districts: 423 districts- responded to the survey. The survey focused on what districts are doing re: enforcement beyond the scope of the no-smoking law. Such information has been compiled and is being provided to you in the statement attached. Many di•stricts sent in their copies of board adopted• policies and adminis- trative regulations which address the no-smoking legislation. If you desire to see how other districts are imptementing this new legislation, please contact the New Jersey School Boards Associatton Policy & Information Depirtment. This project could not have been successful without your support and cooperation. So, again, on behalf of the N'ew Jersey School Boards Association, the Comnission on Smoking OR Health and the State Department of Health, we want to thank you for taking part in this process. Sincerely, Qctavius T. Reid, Jr. Executive Director NJ School Boards Association William E.
