Section 23-20.7-5 of the General Laws in Chapter 2 23-20.7 entitled "Workplace Smoking Pollution Control Act" is hereby 3 amended to read aa followa: 4 23-20.7-5. Regulation of smoking in the workplace. - (1) Each S employer who operates a workplace in this state shali within three 6 (3) months of adoption of this chapter adopt, implement, and maintain 7 a written smokfng policy which will contain, at a minimum, a plan 8 which is designed to protect the health and atmoivheric environalent o_f_ 9 the nonsmoker and to ensure a comfortabLe environment for all em lo 10 , ees, and the requirement that any nonsmoking employee may object to 11 his or her ecsployer about the smoke hazard or discomfort in his or her 12 workplace.
