This story says the report is the "bluntest-yet warning about lung'-cancer," and that the report was written by a committee of top doctors appointed by the "`~s^' R.C.P. The Daily Mail, Monday, January 22, specified the Maxch'7 publication date and says the report links cigarette smoking wri.th bronchitis, coronary thrombosis, ~ :13uberculosis and ulcers, as well as with lung cancer. The correspondent says the R.C.P. report is being issued because'of the feeling among some doctors 'rtha't the British Ministry of Realth is letting the publ'ic dbwn as far as the "rislcs of smoking" are concerned.
