About. 1500 newsmen and top- level Government and busi- ness guests attended the black- tie dinner. They gave the President a replica of the inkstand used at the signingof the Declara- tion of Independence and the Constitution. Tihey gave the Prime Minister a cigar box modeled om a colonial tobacco box. The inkstand Mr. Kennedy received will go with a pair of silver copies of the lantern that hung in the Old North Church in Boston on the night of Paul Revere's ride. He was given the lanterns last year. Honor Guests Impersonated Actor Elliott Reid imper sonated Mr. Kennedy in a skit Actor Hirman Sherman was master of ceremonies for a show of well-known perform- ers:-Benny Goodman, Teddy.
