A recipient of an A. B. de- ,gree in chemistry from; Wil- liams College and aPh. D. in physics and chemistry from Brown `1lniversity, Dr. Keith has written publications in the field of tobacco smoke charac- terizatiom -and filtration and has presented numerous papers on the subject at scientific meet- ings. These i'nclude eleven pap- ers delivered to the Tobacco Chemists Conference. He Is also co-author ob the chapter end.if led "The Selective Filtration of Tobacco Smoke" ina a recent book, "Tobacco and: Tobacco Smoke," edited by Dr, E. L. Wynder. Dr. Keith has served as Chairman of Session at the ITobacco C•hemists' Conference in 1964 and 1965, •and as Special IRaporteur at the International Scientific Congress Ih• Athens,. 'Grcece. in 1966. Clark Gum Names Kraft-4 Assistant Brand Manager M. A. Kraft Jr. has been appointed assist'ant' brand manager-gum for Clark Gum Co., a division of Philip Morris Domestic. Mr. Kraft joined Philip Morris in 1' June 1963 as an associate psychologist. In 1964 he was promoted to research psychologist and in 1967 to senior mar- keting research analyst. Mr. Kraft was graduated with a bachelor's degree in psychology from St. Lawrence University and later re- ceived his masters im psychology from Connecticut College. d M. Jack Oates New quality control manager of Philip Morris Inc. in Louisville is M. Jack Oates, who joined the company as a chemist, in 1948.
