This is to remind you of the TI policy regarding absences
due to inclement weather.
It is the policy of TI to follow the lead of the federal
government regarding absences due to inclement weather.
Accordingly, you should listen to one of the major Washington
area radio stations if you are in doubt whether the office
is closed.
The following guidelines should be followed:
If the federal government offices are closed, or if
only essential employees need report to work, then
T.I. is closed. Division heads may make special
arrangements with selected staff members.
If the federal government offices are open and a
"liberal leave" policy is in effect, then T.I.
is open. Employees should try to report to work.
Lateness or absence will be handled by division
heads on an individual basis. Generally, lateness
in excess of 3 hours, as well as absence should
be charged against sick/personal leave. Annual
leave may be charged if desired by the staff member.
