Legis-Tracs
I will be on vacation from May 18 through May 29. During this
time, Diana, Bill and Walter will be handling all phases of
legislative repo~ting. Because they also have their own work to
keep up with, it will be particularly important that all
reporting be done in the most efficient manner, which is to
use the Leqis-Trac.
Please be especially conscientious about making your Legis-Tracs:
As clear and complete as possible. Please give a11 the
pertinent facts about what has happened -- and what is
the next stop on the bill's schedule. You can use the
Legis-Trac form to report adjournments, too. If you
don't understand the lobbyist's information, then
neither will the folks here!
AS timely as possible. Don't feel you must plan your
day around our daily deadlines. But for these two
weeks, please bear in mind that the deadline for
information to go in the Daily Bulletin is about 2:00;
the deadline for StateLine updates is ii:00 on Thursday
mornings. When feasible', 'get your Legis-Tracs in early.
Please do not use the telephone for legislative re~ortin~ unless
you are totally without electronic mail or telecopler capability.
We know there are some system problems in the southeastern
regions; if you are in doubt about the computer, please call Data
Processing first. If they can't resolve the problem immediabely,
please let Kitty or Sheryl know.
Your cooperation is much appreciated by all here.
