Dear Mr. Vinovich:
On behalf of the United States Olympic Committee's IVth Olympic Dinner, I want
to thank you again for agreeing to serve on our Organizing Committee.
As you begin to contact people about attending this year's anniversary Dinner, I
thought it might be helpful to include a Dinner fact sheet along with a suggested
solicitation letter you might wish to send to your friends and colleagues.
As you know, we are very excited about this year's Dinner. Besides the President
and Vice President, the Senate and House Leadership, and senior members of the
Administration, we expect over 200 Members of Congress to attend.
In addition, we already have commitments from such Olympic greats as Bonnie
Blair, Riddick Bowe, Peggy Fleming, Nancy Kerrigan, Phil Mahre, Pablo Morales,
Edwin Moses, and Frank Shorter, to name a few, to attend and help us celebrate
this year's Dinner. The Dinner will be a great opportunity for you to meet and
greet all of our honored guests.
Should you have any questions, or need additional information, please feel free to
contact me at the Dinner office at (202) 337-4515. I look forward to speaking with
you.
Sincerely yours,
Jennifer K. Smith
Dinner Director
