Dear Sir=
I am writing in response to the recent passing, of a bill
.banning smoking o~ domestic air flights of two hours or less.
.' 1 would like to state, as a non-smoker~ that this action is,
in my opinion, unnecessary and unfair.
This bill was psssed on the "House Floor", wi'th,out prior
congressional hearings or substantive discussion of the
issue, and in the i'ac~ of opposition from the Airlines
Pilots Association, the Air Transport Association, several
specific airlines, the Airport 0~)erators Council, American
Association of Airport i~xecutives and 'the American Society of
Travel Agents...not to mention the £act that 87 percent of the
flying public li~qes the current smoking/~omsmoking arrangement
jus~t.fine, according to a survey by the Pilots Association.
1 ask that you consider these FACTS and find that a smoking ban
on aircraft is wrong and, unnecessary and should be defeated in
AP~Y £orm.
Sincerely,
Edward A. Duvinski
