3555 Mountain Drive Brookfield, WI 53005 August 21, 1987 Senator Robert W. Kasten, Jr., U.S.S. U.S. Senate Washington, DC 20510 Dear Senator Kasten: I am writing this letter because I am greatly concerned with the Government's continued attempts at harassing smokers. Taxes, both State and Federal, are constantly targeted for increases. Federal, State and municipal regulations are limiting smokers' rights as to when and where they may be allowed to enjoy this simple pastime of enjoying tobacco products. I am concerned about legislation~n smoking on board/~ commercial aircraft. I feel t t thai ned and unnecessary action. Smoking is already greatly re- stricted by present regulations. Why does the smoking community have to give up their rights totally? Haven't they made enough concessions to the anti-smoking faction in this country? I urge you to votm NO regarding any further limitation or regulation toward smoking bans on commercial airlines. Sincerely, ~ 'I' omas F. Lo~apio T!0045-0951
