l~n't the separation of smoking an~ non-smoking areas aboard
planes adequate?
While I respect the individuals you chose not to smoke~ I
also feel that I, as a smoker, have the right to enjoy a cigarette
while flying. I have never had a complaint about this practice
in the past.
I would sincerely appreciate your addressing the proble'm
of smoker's rights.

Dear Senator Cranston:
As a smoker and commercial air traveler, I am becoming
Inereaslngly distressed at the possibility of legislation being
passed to prohibit smoking on board commercial planes.
While I certainly respect the rights of don-smokers, I
feel that smokers also have rights. That-is the purpose in
having designated smoking and non-smoklng areas on airlines in
the first place, Both smokers and non-smokers can then be com-
fortable while flying. .
In all the years I have been flylug, I have never had a
eomplalnt about my smoking on board.
Please address the rights of smokers when this legislatlcm
passes your desk.

Dear Senator Wilson:
I would like to express my views regarding the possible
passing of legislature banning smoking on commercial airlines.
As a smoker, I respect the rights of non-smokers; however,
I woul~ like also to retain my right to'smoke and relax while
flying. I truly feel that the designated smoking and non-smoking
areas on plans is adequate to protect both smokers and non-smokers
alike.
In the years I have been flying and smoking aboard, I have
never received a complaint.
Please fight to protect the rights of smokers when thi~
bill passes your desk.

I am wri%ing this letter to ~e% you know, I believe a smoking ~
ban on aircraft is wrong and u~ecessary. It has been brought
to my attention teat you voted for the airline smokin~ banowhen
it was recently approved in the house. I am concerned about
your vote to ban airline smoking. Your vote does not represent
my opinion. Smoking aboard aircraft is ~iready sharply restricted.
Every passenger is guaranteed a'~no-smoking~' seat, even if a
smoking section must be reduced or eliminated to satisfy that
guarantee.
Sir, lets not forget~" SMOKERS.HAVE RIGHTS TO ~II~ ".
