Mr. L. P. Runyon, Jr., Assistant Manufacturing Director
I<. S. Sprinkle, III, Coordinator - Research and Development
Reference is made to our telephone conversation of May 2 concerning
inventories and durations of PALL MALL Famous cigarette paper (Ref
523 or 610) and LUCKY STRIKE paper (Ref P). Please arrange to have
all locations manufacturing these brands adjust their inventories
between now and October 31, 1975, so that by October 31 inventory
durations will not exceed two months. As per our conversation,
this inventory control measure is a result of anticipated product
changes to be effective with manufacture of the above brands during
January 1976. We will keep you i.nf.ormed of our development program
and have revised cigarette specifications available by late October.
