Abstract
Highlights activities of the Biochemical/Biobehavioral Research Division related to additives, ETS research, blood chemistry, pesticides, sick building syndrome, genetics toxicology, applied toxicology and metabolism/pharmacoidkinetics. Highlights ETS study on radon and ETS as it relates to lung cancer in nonsmokers, literature review on the same, and a meeting of the "intramural ETS project team." Notes that ETS meeting included presentation of data "indicating that the vapor pressure of nicotine is sufficient to put all of the nicotine in the vapor phase of ETS." Summarizes meeting of TI/ETS Working Group request for proposal for study of ETS exposure in both private and public places to "expand upon the efforts of Repace which we view as being too biased and not representative of ETS exposure in any broad sense."
