Abstract
Offers description and requested funds for each of two proposed studies at the Lady Sobell Gastrointestinal Unit of Wexham Park Hospital: the effect of ascorbic acid supplementation and Heliobacter pylori eradication on the rate of change of precancerous gastric mucosal changes; and a diagnostic program for esophageal disease. Notes that principal investigator "was open-minded about accepting money from a tobacco company but stated that he had selected projects which he felt were not related to tobacco."
