There were present 141essrs.: H. A. Kent. G. D. VPhitefield' E. S. Bowling v. J. Halley J. S. Freeman F. Hopewell J. T. Keel Tod woo1 I In the absence of N,r. Htzmmel, Chairman, Mr. Kent, President, pre- sided and the Secretary acted as' Secretary of' the meeting. On motion duly made andi seconded, the reading of'the minutes of'the previous meeting was dispensed with. On motion of' Mr. I3alley, seconded by Mr. Hopewell, it was una nn7nously RESOLVED: That the reemployment of Cary James Martin as Salesman,, at a salary at the rate of'w40 per week, effective August 21, 1944r with the authorizatiomof the Sales Dept. and the approval of H.A. KEnt,, President, and G.D. INhitefield, Executive Vice-Pre.sident, be and the same !iereby is in all respects approved, ratified,, and confirmed. On motion of Mr. iteel, second6d! by Mr'. li'hitefield, it was unanimously RESOLVED: That the employment at the Maddletorn Branch of Robert Brinkmey er, at a salary at the rate of $52 per week, effective July 31, 1944, be and the same hereby is in all respects approved, rati- fied, and confirmed. On motion of Mr. Hopewell, seconded by Mr. Freemany, the following advertising expenditure was in all respects approved, ratified, and con- firmed: Contract dated August 8,, 194,.4with~ St. Louis National League Baseball Club, covering advertising of OLD GOLD Cigarettes in crogram for the 1944 titiorld Series games to be played in St. louisy, Mo. (provided the St. Louis team are champions of their league) at a cost of ?'250. The Secr_:tary laid before the meeting, the following: Lease dated May 15, 19" from Frances F.
