There were present Messrs.: G. H. Hummel H. A. Kent G. D. YYhitefield E. S. Bowling J. S. Freeman F. Hopewell J. T. Keel Todd Wool Mr. Hummela,Chairman, presided„ and'the Secretary acted as Secretary of the meeting. On motion duly made and secondedy the reading of the minutes of the previous meeting,was dispensed with. On motion of Mr. Hopewell, secondedi by Mr. Keel, it was unanimously RESOLVED: That the reemployment of George Lawrence Fish as Salesman, at a salary at the rate of 05 per week, effective April 10, 19.y1,., with the authoriza- tion of the Sales Department and the approval of H.A. Kentj President, and G,D. Whiteffeld, Executive Uice-President.. be and the same hereby is in all respects approvred,, ratified,, and confirmed. On motion of Mr. Hopewell, seconded by Mr. Thitefield, the following adver- tising expenditure was in all respects approved, ratified, and confirmed: Contract dated April 5, 1944 with Retail Tobacco Dealers of America Inc.y New York City, for a f1zi1l page advertisement of Company products in the 1944 edition of Tobacco Retailers' ' Akmanac,, at a cost of 41,5B0., On motion of' Mr. rr'hitef ield, seconded by Mr. Freeman, it was unani mously RESOLVED: That this Company contribute the sum of 1'1,000 to Junior Achieve- ment,,Tnc.
