Temple Todd Wool Mr. H,ummel, Chasrmany, presided and the Secretary acted as Secretary of thee meeting,. On motion duly made andseconded,, the reading of'the minutes of the previous meeting was dispensed with. On motion of Mr. Hopewell, seconded by Mr. Temple, it was unanimously RESOLVED: That the reemployment of Thomas 14[al:erba Adamo as Salesman,, at a salary at the rate of $33 per week,, effective Februaryr 7, 19LF4, with~ the authori- zation of'the Sales Dept. and the approval of G.D. Whitefield, Executive Vice- President and W,.J. Halley, Vice-President,, be and the same hereby is in all re- spects approved, ratified, and confirmed. On motion of iVHr. Whitefield, seconded by Mr. Freeman, it was unanimous]y RESOLVED: That the employment of Meyer Miller at the N1ew York Office at.a salary at the rate of $30 per week, effective January 24, 1944, be and the same hereby is in all respects approved, ratified, and confirmed. On motion of Mr. Kent, seconded' by Mr. Keel,, the following, sudvezti8ing ex- penditures were in all respects approved, ratified, and confirmed: Estimates of J. Walter Thompson Company as follows: #159 dated February 1, 1944,; revision of Estimate #148 dated July 13, 1943 andd' #148-A dated October 18, ]1943', covering radio advertising of OLD GOLD Cigarettes over the NBC~Network (Bob Crosby Show) January 2 through December 31, 1944, at an add+itional cost of $403,012.86. #175 dated January 31, 19L,4~ covering radio.aduertising of OLD GOLD Cigarettes over Stations WIND and' WJJDx Chicago, Illinois, as therein set out, at a cost of' $1'.4, L,.28.91., The Secretary laid before the meeting lease from The Western & Southern Life Insurance Co. by The T.W.
