February 3, 1943 A regular meeting,of the Executive Committee of P. Lorillard Company was held today at the office of the Company, 119'jtiest 40th, Street,,New York City. There were present Messrs.: H. A. Kent G. D. Whitefield VP'. J. Kalley F'. Hopewell J. T. Keel T: L. Perkins, Asst-Secretary In the absence of Mr. Huanmel,, Chairman,,Mr. Kent, President, presided, and' the Assistant Secretary acted as Secretary of the meeting. On motion duly made and seconded,,the reading of' the minutes of'the previous meeting,was dispensed with. On motion of Mr. Keel, seconded by Mr. Hopewell, it was unanimously RESOLVED: That the action of the President and theTreasurer of'this Company in renewing on February 1„ 1943, on beha:lf'of'thi:s Company, the loan made October 1, 1942, from The New York Trust Company,,100':Broadway,, New York City,, in the sum of One Million Dollars ($1,0W,000.) and in executing and delivering in the name of this Company its promissory note evidencing said debt, bearing,date of February 1, 1943, and payable at said bank four (4) months from said date, with interest at the rate of 1-21% per annum from said dete,, be and the:same h~ereby is in all respects approved, ratified, and.confirmed..
