Kent Whitefieldi Bowling Halley DriscoSl Freeman ICeel. Glascock F. Hopewell Buford,Scott. Todd Wool. . The Chairman of the Board pres3ided,and the Secretaryy acted asSecretary of the meeting. On motion duly made and seconded, the reading,of the minutesof the pre- vious meeting was dispensed with. On motion of Mr. Freeman, seconded by Mr. Halley, it was unanimously RESOLVED: That all checks dra®n against any of the funds of the Company on deposit xith.the Hudson County National Bank,.Jersey City, N.J., to the credit. of the Regul:ar Account of'the old Gold Branch of the Company, shall bear the sigpa. tures of any two of the.followin..gs J. S. Freeman E. I. Yahle J. R. MaDermott J. A. Kraus E. C. Fieg. This resolution supersedes all previous resolutions in regard to the signing of such.checks.h On mationn of Mr. Keel, seconded:by Mr. Driscoll, it was unanimously RESOLVED: That.aLl checks drawn against any of the funds of the Company on deposit with the Hudson County National Hank, Jersey City, N.J., to the credit of the Pay Roll Account of the old Gold Branch of the Company,-shall bear the signature of' any one of the following: J. July 6, 1942 covering radio advertising of MURIEL Cigars over Station KCMO, Kansas City, Mo., for a period of thirteen weeks beginning August 16, 1942, at a cost of $794.95. Estimate #82 Supplement B of J. YPalter Thompsom Company dated July 14, 1942 covering newspaper advertising of' OLD GOLD Cigarettes as therein set out, June 29 through August 1, 1942, at at cost.of $40,477.43. Estimate //84 of J., Walter Thompson CompanW da.ted'July ]1,.,. 1942, covering radio advertising of. OLD GOLD Cigarettes over Stations WREC, Memphis, and WSM, Nashville, Tenn., July 15 through August 11, 1942, at a cost of $2,639•80., The. Secretary laid'before the meeting.Supplement to contract dated January 8, 1940 hbetween American Can Company and this Company for vacuum tins for OLD GOLD Cigarettes, extending the expiration date of said contract to December 31, 1943,, andiproviding for adjustment in cost of said vacuum tins under terms and.conditions therein set out; which On motion of Mr. Bowling, seconded'by Mr. VPhitefielld, was in all respects approved, ratified, and confirmed.
