You state'(,at 2) "Liggett from time' to'time does continue to receive solitations ['sic] from film companies for Liggett^'s payment in, return for the featuring of products in films. "' Please supply a list of such solicitations since January 1, 1987, including: (a') the name of the film, (b)i the approximate date' of the request, ('c) whether Liggett did in fact supply anything, (di) if so, a, description of what was supplied! and its estimated fair market value, and (e)', a copy of any agreement or correspondence. You alsaa state (at 2) EELiggett"s position, is that it will not pay for any product to be used in, films or for any other promotional services in connection with films." The autumn 1988 issue of'Tobacco & Youth Reporter asserts, that Chesterfield cigarette appeared in the movie "Heaven Help. Us. "' In order to better understand Liggett"'s position, the Subcommittee requests the following information: (1) Did Liggett (or any of'its agents), supply any product, promotional materials (such as billboards or point of sale material)', or money in connection with its tobacco product appearing in, "Heaven Help Us?" (2)If the answer to'(1) is "yes," please provide a description of such product or material, its estimated fair market value, and a copy of the agreement (or, if no agreement,, all correspondence)i with the filmmaker. (3) If the answer to' (1) i's' "no,," please supply any explanatio'n, you may have'as to how Chesterfield happened to appear in the movie. Please pro ide this informatio'n, by April 11, 1989..
