RE: Final Notes on the Policy Forum
1. The procedings on Tuesday, September 29 will begin a little
early. In order to accommodate Sen. Mitchell's committee
obligations, we will begin at 9:00 a.m. with a very brief (2
minutes?) program introduction and then introduce Sen. Mitchell.
Please assist us in starting the program promptly as we want the
Senator to have time to field a few questions, but he will have
to leave at 9:30 regardless of when we begin.
2. A complete agenda is enclosed as are the speaker's topic
sheets for each workshop. We encourage you to look over the
topic sheets and be prepared to discuss the major topic - what
the federal government should and should not do - focusing on
these suggested points.
3. Please come with opinions and reasoning in hand. There will
be a wide array of program managers and policy decision makers "at
the forum. As workshop attendance is expected to be about 30
people, your participation is both encouraged and needed. Please
let me know if you have any specific comments or requests
regarding the discussion topics.
See you on the 29th!
