The Panel's task is to study various policy options and make - recommendations that will reduce the incidence of tobacco-related illness and death. The Panel's recorc:end,ations will be submitted in a report to the Governor by November 15, 1980. The Office of Health Education will act in the capacity of staff to the Panel. Ihe issues and tasks that ti.-ill be dealt with in the Citi zens' Panel may be directly related to the activities within your Bureau. I would appreciate it if you uvuld nominate a representative from your Bureau u.-ho will work closely with the staff from the Office of Health Education to ensure the development of coordinated input from hIDPH _to the Panel by providing valuable information and resources to the staff on Bureau objectives and activities in this area.
