This list of recommendations was developed by Dr. First, working in conjunction with Dr. Trum areas, all of which need further clarification and better understanding. these recommendations. Both Dr. First and I have the highest regard and respect for Mr. Kennedy. When we hear from him, I will forward all of the information to you in the hopes that we can at that time ask the tobacco industry sponsors of our program for help regarding these matters. I belive, and I think I am speaking for all of our investigators, that our research program has reached a critical point of achievement and momentum, and I hope we can do everything pos- sible to keep that momentum going forward in a positive direction.
