Stevens Please find enclosed a report on the tobacco project papers given at the American College of Chest Physicians meeting in Las Vegas. I also enclose a letter from Dr. Huber dated October 27, 1977, together with the enclosure to which he refers. This letter outlines Dr. Huber's plans for refurbishing,the animal facilities at Charlesgate West, which have been closed due to lack of compliance with certain standards. I call your attention in particular to the following two'sentences on page two of br. Huber's letter: "We have an estimated cost from the contractors that we have worked with closely in the past two years of $250,000-$400,000 to renovate the facility to the standards. We do not have that magnitude of funding in hand, however, as you - know, and would require additional supplimentary (sic) support from the industry if we are to proceed." Dr. Huber hopes to have specific recornmenda'ti.ons and more accurate cost figures within the next month or so. You should,
