CLWOOD, L. THOMAS Or COUNSEL
Our meeting with Dr. Huber oniThursday, March 30 at
7:00 p.m. has been reconfirmed with Dr. Huber. He advises me
that the time of our meeting Friday morning, March 31 will be
9:30 a.m. instead of 9:00 a.m.
We all have reservations at the Harvard'Club.
Dr. Huber has strongly recommended that Lee Stanford
attend the meeting with Meadow. Lee met with Dr. Huber on
Tuesday, March 14 to discuss the equipment inventory and state
of the tobacco project accounts. Dr. Huber believes that Lee's
considerable in depth knowledge could serve us well at the meeting.
with Mr. Meadow, although we'might or might not want to refer to
specific difficulties encountered at Beth Israel. Certainly, if
the project is to be continued, we want to insist that Harvard
take over the administration.
Dr. Huber will make Lee a reservation at the Harvard
,Club but if, for some reason, you feel strongly that he should
not attend, there will be no hard feelings.

We were tentatively holding the date of April 4. This
will no longer be necessary. Our meeting for the 31st is definite
(and if Boston has its largest snow storm in history so late in

.the season, there would still be too much snow on the ground
April 4 anyway).
Mr. Meadow seems of the opinion that only Charlesgate
can meet the space requirement of the project. He will presumably
make a proposal that Harvard'Medical School buy the facility but
I have no idea what sort of recoupment of costs he may suggest.
The foregoing are my thoughts following a short report from Dr.
Huber concerning his meeting with Mr. Meadow on March l6.
There may be a meeting in New York on the 30th of
March. If so, we will be traveling from New York to Boston
Thursday afternoon.
Best personal regards.
Sincerely,
WilliamW. Shinn
