MEMORANDUM TO COMMITTEE OF COUNSEL
Enclosed is a copy of supplemental comments of The
Tobacco Institute that were filed with the Civil Aeronautics
Board today in connection with the proposed revisions of the
Board's smoking regulations. The comments respond to asser-
tions made by Action on Smoking and Health about the signifi-
cance of a study of the relationship between smoking,
ventilation systems, and ambient air particulate levels
that was sent to the CAB by James Repace, who works for the
Environmental Protection Agency.
If anyone wants a copy of the Repace study, please
contact me.
