As we continue our work, an article such as yours in the NEW REPUBLIC and as reprinted in THE WASHINGTON POST is received as a welcome breath of fresh air. If the experience of other authors who have tended to question conventional wisdom is any guide, your current effort will produce some very critical, and in some cases, vicious responses.
